The Bubali Bird Sanctuary was created to help birds in Aruba have a safe haven. This sanctuary has an area of 25 hectares and within the sanctuary is a man-made lake. The lake has a drainage going to the sea and it is in the northwestern part of the island. Within the area, there is a windmill too and it is the last existing windmill in the country. Migratory birds rest and breed in the Bubali Bird Sanctuary and so far, there are 80 species of birds in the place. There are other animals living there too.
